Responders are required to collect deceased using specialist equipment from mortuaries, other funeral directors, care homes and residential addresses. Majority of collections are from hospital mortuaries. We care for the deceased at our mortuary location, prepare for cremation and deliver to crematorium. Responders also deliver ashes back to families. A responder can be managing any of these tasks within a standard day.

Monday to Friday within the hours of 5am and 8pm

Induction is 3-5 days shadowing with an experienced team member as well as training on equipment use, procedures, PPE requirements and care standards.

Successful candidates to have their own navy/dark suit, clean, well polished black shoes, white shirt and navy tie. Once on permanent contracts responders are provided with uniform.

- Happy to work independently as responders operate alone the majority of the time although do have assistance at the hub.

- Flexibility for local call outs a bonus.

- Happy to consider bank staff who are looking for full or part time hours.

- There are strict standards of care and presentation and are looking for candidates who are reliable, have good standard of presentation and time keeping and can support families at a difficult time.
