Major Scrub Practitioner

e are looking for a Scrub Theatre Nurse with Synergy Medical, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams and ensuring the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up the operating room before procedures.

  • Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.

  • Safely and efficiently pass instruments and equipment to the surgeon during surgery.

  • Assist with draping patients and de-gowning post-procedure.

  • Respond promptly and calmly in surgical emergencies, following instructions and protocols.

  • Complete accurate surgical documentation.

  • Support patient transfer and handover to the recovery room.

  • Carry out additional duties as directed by the surgical team.

(Responsibilities may vary depending on location, speciality, and level of experience.)

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration.

  • Minimum of 6 months recent UK NHS scrub experience.

  • Ability to provide a clinical reference and employment history covering the last 3 years.

  • Valid enhanced DBS (or eligibility to apply).

  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
