The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care and work as an integral member of the theatre team during major orthopaedic procedures. Responsibilities will include preparing the operating theatre, checking surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining strict aseptic and sterile techniques, assisting surgeons throughout procedures, anticipating surgical requirements and ensuring patient safety at all times.
We are looking for a professional, reliable and confident practitioner with strong major orthopaedic theatre experience, excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary theatre team.

Assist with draping patients and de-gowning post-procedure.
Respond promptly and calmly in surgical emergencies, following instructions and protocols.
Complete accurate surgical documentation.
Support patient transfer and handover to the recovery room.
Carry out additional duties as directed by the surgical team.
