Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting experienced Surgical First Assistants (SFAs) to work within the Theatres department of a well-established private hospital in North England.
The successful candidate will support the surgical team throughout procedures, working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff to ensure safe and effective patient care. Responsibilities will include assisting during surgical procedures, maintaining the sterile field, preparing and handling surgical instruments, supporting patient positioning, and ensuring high standards of infection prevention and patient safety.
We are looking for professional, reliable and experienced Surgical First Assistants who are confident working within a busy Theatre environment and committed to delivering high standards of patient care.
RequirementsRelevant Surgical First Assistant qualificationPrevious UK Theatres experience requiredRecent Surgical First Assistant experience requiredPrevious experience working within a hospital Theatre environmentGood knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniquesStrong clinical and communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary Theatre teamCurrent NMC registration or relevant professional registrationRight to work in the UKShifts AvailableWe offer flexible shift options to suit your availability:
