Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting an experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to work within a well-established private hospital in Bristol.
The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care and work as an integral member of the theatre team during major orthopaedic procedures. Responsibilities will include preparing the operating theatre, checking surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining strict aseptic and sterile techniques, assisting surgeons throughout procedures, anticipating surgical requirements and ensuring patient safety at all times.
We are looking for a professional, reliable and confident practitioner with strong major orthopaedic theatre experience, excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary theatre team.
RequirementsCurrent NMC or HCPC registrationPrevious UK theatre/scrub experienceProven experience in major orthopaedic surgeryGood knowledge of surgical instruments and orthopaedic equipmentExcellent understanding of infection prevention and aseptic techniquesStrong clinical and communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre teamRight to work in the UKShifts AvailableWe offer flexible shift options to suit your availability:

e are looking for a Scrub Theatre Nurse with Synergy Medical, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams and ensuring the smooth running of operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and set up the operating room before procedures.
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
Safely and efficiently pass instruments and equipment to the surgeon during surgery.
Assist with draping patients and de-gowning post-procedure.
Respond promptly and calmly in surgical emergencies, following instructions and protocols.
Complete accurate surgical documentation.
Support patient transfer and handover to the recovery room.
Carry out additional duties as directed by the surgical team.
(Responsibilities may vary depending on location, speciality, and level of experience.)
RequirementsCurrent NMC registration.
Minimum of 6 months recent UK NHS scrub experience.
Ability to provide a clinical reference and employment history covering the last 3 years.
Valid enhanced DBS (or eligibility to apply).
Proof of right to work in the UK.
